The interest in Parkinson’s disease and RBD has steadily increased over the years. Parkinson’s disease is characterized by someone who experiences stationary facial expressions, troubles with posture and gait, progressive tremors of the resting hand, and complicatedness in the majority of body movements. RBD is an abbreviation for REM sleep behavior disorder which in turn stems from REM sleep. REM is an abbreviation for rapid eye movement. REM sleep is characterized by a period in sleep in which brain activity is similar to wakefulness but physical appearance of sleep is expressed.
