Nurture vs. Environment A lot of people do not really realize that there is a lot of juvenile crime in the United States. Most of it is “swept under the carpet” and the juveniles are protected. The question is why are there so many crimes today that do involve juveniles? The numbersof crimes that are convicted by juveniles are outrageous. Juvenile crime in the United States has drastically increased throughout the years. Do we blame the kids though or are there other people that we should blame? Parents, friends, and money play a huge role in a child’s life. First off, Juvenile Crime consists of any crime that is convicted by a child under the age of 18. According to the Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) they stated that in 2005 the FBI estimated around 14,094,186 crime took place nationwide for all offenses except for traffic violations. Of those crimes 603, 503 were for violent crimes and 1,609,327 for property crimes. Drug Related Arrests were the highest with approximately......
