“Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates, and men are just here to have fun with”, this pivotal line encompasses all that is Sex and The City: The Movie. The film is meant to empower women and bring to light the importance of close friends over relationships. The thing that captured, at least my personal attention, was the detail of the music that is ever present throughout the film. Some scenes needed no words; the music alone emphasizes the feelings of the characters that words could never express.
Darren Star Productions created Sex and the City, the movie was written by Michael Patrick King based on the best selling book by Candace Bushnell both of which are based on the television series created by Darren Star. The motion picture was also directed by Michael Patrick King along with Richard Brenner both of whom are the movies executive producers. The man behind all the original music is Aaron Zigman.
