The New America
The United States was founded by people who had to fight off an oppressive government. They set up the laws of their new government so that they could have the freedoms they desired and so those freedoms could not be taken away. It was a government “by the people and for the people." The founding fathers encouraged a bloody revolution before a police state is allowed and constitutional rights taken away. In reference to ensuring the peoples’ rights the Declaration of Independence states, "Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it." Would the strong and proud American people ever hand over their rights without a fight?
