Dissociation is commonly known as daydreaming or getting lost in the moment when in class or even doing a certain project. All of us have experienced dissociation throughout our lifetime. It happens to students a lot when they loose focus because they are not interested in the information that is being presented. A very severe form of dissociation is known as Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as DID. People having DID are very rare and of course not seen in every day life.
