Just like any other topic in history, because of the human nature, Art has been divided in several groups. As we learned in our class, two major paths have been formed in Hellenistic era: “Art of Apollo” and “Art of Dionysos”. Since this era’s art had and have a huge influence on comprehension and application for centuries after them, explaining it and indicating their differences, have a great importance in order to understand overall art itself. However, since art is a very wide subject, we will only focus on these two major branches, that we have mentioned earlier. Therefore, we will first explain what is Apollonian and Dionysian art, then we will show compare them according their views.
