JAPAN’S INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND HEALTH LAWS AND RELATED ORDINANCES

Japan's rapid industrialization and economic growth resulted in significant increases in the number of industrial accidents which lead the worst record of 6,712 fatal accidents in the year 1961.
These accidents not only put people's lives at risk but showed a negative effect on normal production activities and socioeconomic development, a number of measures have been actively taken by industries, government agencies and related organizations have promoted the industrial safety and health activities in a positive way at the workplace. As a result of such efforts, the number of fatal accidents has now been reduced to one-third of its past records. Industrial Safety and Health Law was enacted in 1972 which contributed in reducing the accidents in the industries. There are certain laws which have to be followed for starting the bicycle manufacturing unit in Japan. They are as follows.
