Over the past few years, there have been many growing concerns for North Americans. From global warming and the horrendous storms that leave so many people homeless, to the stability of the economy and the ever fluctuating American dollar. Also, there are the ever present wars that have every one baffled as to their purpose. Through the eyes of the rest of the world however, one of the greatest problems North Americans have is there health. More specifically, North Americans are known for their rate of obesity.

Contrary to the beliefs of many, the health issues do not derive from the Big Mac or the Dairy Queen Blizzard. The problems originate with the parents and guardians of children, resulting in an alarming rate of childhood obesity. Parents do not realize what they are doing to their children just by the little things they say, and by whom they allow their kids to associate with and be cared for by.
