Business to business (B2B) companies and business to consumer (B2C) companies have quite a few characteristics that differentiate the two. B2B companies are more relationship driven, while B2C companies are typically more product driven. Because B2C companies are product driven, they maximize the value of the actual transaction, whereas B2B companies focus more on the relationship of the customer (Marketing, 2009). The differences of each of the types of web sites will be discussed in this paper.
Business to business web sites do business with suppliers and distributors over the Internet. They work primarily selling to other businesses rather than individual consumers. B2B sites must deal with all the different phases of the buying process. Different vendors or distributors will be in different phases......
