Race and Ethnicity matter
Throughout the U.S history, race and ethnicity was a big issue and affected people in a way that it had a big impact on them. Before the civil war, the United States Constitution did not provide specific protections for voting rights, especially for Blacks. The efforts of the Civil Rights Movement ended segregation publicly and legally. So are there any problems caused by race or ethnicity in our community now? I think the answer should be “yes”. Especially in New York City, people who live in this area are all from different countries. They all come from different backgrounds. And I have experienced this kind of situation.
I have been working in a beauty supply for couple months in Jamaica. I like my job, but I don’t like the place at which the store is located, because there are lots of African Americans.
