Diversity and Similarity

History, culture, family and unity, these are all things that most of us value in our lives in one way or another. I have found through living in different cities and states, that these things are very prominent in the Hispanic culture, though and through and through. Though most Hispanic people carry the same values and traditions, there are many differences between them in aspects of language, religion and traditions.
Mexican Americans have been in the United States for many years and have been a part of the American Culture as well. Mexican Americans also known as “Chicanos” used to be well known as migrant workers. They have changed from the role of migrants to immigrants. Mexican Americans usually speak Spanish and they are being taught to speak the English Language in bilingual classes and through socializing with local Americans as well.
