Argument Essay Abortion should be Legal for any Woman of any Age Abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy (abortion). Abortion is also a right that every woman hasas long as it is in the first trimester of pregnancy. In many cases abortion being legal saves lives but it is also guaranteed to end a life every time the operation is done. Women should be in control of their own lives and should have the choice of having a child or not due to the effects that it would have on both the mother’s life and the child’s life. One night when my mother was seventeen years old, she was walking home alone from a party where she had been drinking alcohol, and a man attacked her and forced her to let him have sex with her. She ended up being impregnated and was pregnant for five weeks with a child whose father was the most awful man alive and would never be seen again.
