A survival guide is an essential part of college success. Each student should have a survival guide and refer to it as often as necessary. I plan to keep mine with my syllabus. My survival includes using Axia’s educational resources, upholding academic honesty, setting and achieving goals, managing time wisely, fostering reading comprehension and retention, and applying personality and learning styles.
Using Axia’s Educational Resources
As an Axia student I have become familiar with Axia’s resources. The ones I find most helpful are the online library and the Center for Writing Excellence (CWE.) The online library is simple to use, just log in to your main Axia page, mouse over My Learning Resources, the Tools & Tutorials, the go to Library in the menu provided. The search that has worked best for me so far is using the Article Database – Major then selecting one of the three available search engines.
