Tattoos are popular in most parts of the world, particularly in North America, South America, Japan, and Europe. People refer to tattoos as body art, ink, tats, work, and art.

A tattoo is a permanent puncture wound that is made deep in the skin with a needle and ink. Tattoos are injected in to the second deep layer of the skin, which is called the Dermis.
