Euthanasia or “assisted suicide” has been around for thousands of years and has been frowned down upon by the majority of people in history. Euthanasia is when someone helps another kill them self; weather they are terminally ill, in extreme pain, or feel as if they can not go on. In the past there was no question about assisting someone in killing them self, they did not even think about it. However, in today’s society it has become a very controversial topic and more and more people are starting to believe that it is acceptable. Euthanasia is a part of our society today weather it is legal or not and has become morally acceptable.
