Global warming has become a worldwide epidemic that is touching everything and everyone in its path. America has become the number one source of pollutants, and as a result of the country’s burning of fossil fuel the welfare of the human race, animals and the environment are seriously threatened. Many critics, such as Thomas G. Moore argue that global warming will benefit human civilization and believe Americans will profit from warmer climates along with taking pleasure in the warmer weather, while others greatly disagree. Moore suggests that global warming cannot be prevented as gas concentrations can only increase in numbers and it would be financially beneficiary to not build systems that would prevent the release of lower gas concentrations being released into the environment.
