I. Reason for choosing this child

Thomas was chosen to do my case study one reason because I am his personal assistant. Thomas is a cerebral palsy wheelchair bound boy that is very high cognitive. Thomas can talk and is very smart academic wise. The first time I saw him he came on the first day of school in August of 2006 to City Park Elementary. My self being a Special Education Teacher Assistant some one came to tell me that we had a new student enrolling that was in a wheelchair. So I was very interested to see who they were talking about. I walked up to him in the cafeteria he was sitting there I asked him his name and age. After that he said “okay no more interviews”. That caught me of guard coming from a six year old.
