After seeing the documentary Unchained Memories in class my viewpoints on slavery have changed tremendously. A person can read the different stories of slavery in a book and never really get an understanding of the pain and suffering that took place until they hear it first hand from a victim. Seeing the documentary also made me appreciate my freedom and helped me realize exactly how bless I really am. Some similarities I saw among the narratives were the different voices they chose to use. They all gave the person they read for an older and raspy voice. Another similarity I noticed amongst the readers was the way they got into character before reading. I am not sure what went though their minds, however I’m sure they tried to envision being that slave and telling the story. On the other hand, the narrators were all different in their style of reading.

The most powerful narrator that stood out to me was Samuel L. Jackson, his voice is so outstanding and it made me feel like I......
