Chelsey Lawrence Annotated Bibliography February 26, 2009 AP Language Mrs. Wilson This article discusses the different testing methods on animals to find cures for HIV. It gives the difficulties and advantages people face when trying to test vaccines on different monkeys and which species of monkeys they had to switch to. Though they support and are trying to encourage different methods of testing they look at both sides of the argument. Also they discuss what the law says as the Medicines Act of 1968 to give explanation to why some companies must test on animals. The article also gives a list of examples of arguments against animal testing and the arguments that are for animal testing. The UCCAA works to promote animal alternatives and in their article “The Mouse in Science: Vaccines” they give the history of the mouse being the first animal to undergo animal testing. They specifically talk about testing of vaccines and give the methods of in vitro. The article discusses......
