BLIND MELON
Blind Melon was made up of Brad Smith (bass), Thomas Rogers Stevens (guitar), Richard Shannon Hoon (vocals), Christopher Thorn (guitar) and Glen Graham (drums).
Brad Smith was born in West Point, MI on September 29, 1968. Thomas Rogers Smith was also born in West Point, MI on October 31, 1970. Brad and Rogers first met as boys when they were in the Cub Scouts together. Brad played the baritone saxophone and snare drum in middle school and taught himself to play the guitar by the time he was thirteen and then proceeded to teach Rogers how to play. In high school they were in several cover bands together. A few years after graduation they packed up Smith’s Honda and headed to Los Angeles-where they soon met Shannon Hoon.
Richard Shannon Hoon was born on September 26, 1967 in Lafayette, IN. He began using his middle name as a teenager to avoid confusion with his father, who was also named......
