Democratic National Convention
The Democratic National Convention is a political convention that is held every four years since 1832 by the United States Democratic Party. To be honest I didn’t know what the national convention was until I was assigned this assignment, but I found that it was very important and interesting because these are the people that are going to affect our county in the end. Its primary purpose is to select the Democratic nominee for President and Vice President as well as to make a statement to America about what they plan to do in the future. It was basically a big debate between Obama and McCain the Democrat and the Republican.
