waist dresses. Dresses varied in all lengths and widths. Also reflecting the
subdued mood of the thirties were colors: black, navy and gray were liked for
the city wear and browns and greens were liked for autumn outfits. For
afternoon and evening wear, black or pastel shades of peach, pink, green, and
blue were the most fashionable( Costantino 8).
