Ever since I started school when I was little, Math was the one
subject that I got good grades in. It was always the only A on
my report card. Throughout elementary school I never had to
study for and it was just an easy A for me. Then in middle
school I had to prove myself to other teachers because of a
mishap on a test.
In sixth grade you have to take a test to see if you could
get into Pre-Algebra in seventh so you could be in Algebra I by
eighth grade. However, I did not do so well on the test they
gave us, but my grades in math courses were great. My mom wanted
me in the upper level math course and she complained but they
still didn't put me in it. So in seventh grade I was in the
regular math course and for the year I had an average of 104.
After that year they still didn't want me to skip pre-algebra,
but eventually I did skip it and go right to Algebra I. Then in
eighth grade I got an A for the whole year in Algebra.
