At the strike of twelve, on Harry Potter's eleventh birthday, he finds out he is a wizard and is accepted to an unusual school: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. After being introduced to Hagrid, keeper of the keys at Hogwarts, Harry sets off to a new world and leaves behind Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon Dursley, and his bully cousin Dudley. At Hogwarts, Harry makes friends with Ron and Hermione, and discovers that he is a hero in the witching community for making Voldemolt disappear, when he was only a baby. At Hogwarts Harry finds that the school is definitely unusual. There are flying broomsticks, wands filled with magic, dragons, and three headed dogs. Harry is put in Gryffindor, one of the four dorms where students play for the esteemed house cup. Harry discovers he is a natural broom-flyer and soon he is put on the Quidditch team, a sport played in the air with magical balls. For Christmas Harry receives an invisibility cape, which he and Hermione use to sneak......
