It is a brilliantly sunny day in New York City. The Yankees are down by three in the bottom of the ninth with only one out left. The rookie, Tony D'Angelo steps to the plate, now is his moment to shine. The crowd is going wild. The first pitch is a swing and a miss. The second, straight down the plate with incredible speed. A loud roaring crack fills the stadium. The ball soars through the air and out of the park with astonishing spirit. "And it's out of here! Grand Slam! Yankees Win!" shouts the announcer. The crowd goes crazy as the runners graze across the plate with exhilaration in their eyes and smiles on their faces. Tony was paid nearly 13,000 dollars for that little moment of fame. Meanwhile, across town an EMS van nearly takes out a parking meter while whizzing down the street to the local hospital. The doors swing open and the gurney flies out.
