Who is involved?
Egeus is a father that only wants best for his daughter Hermia. Hermia is in love with a man named Lysander, and the man her father wants her to marry is Demetrius. Lysander thinks up of an idea and tells Hermia to sneak out into the woods the next night so that they may get married at his aunt's house just outside of Athens. Helena, Hermia best friend loves Demetrius, but realizes he only has eyes for Hermia. Helena tells Demetrius about Lysanders plan hoping that he will love Helena. So the conflict in this scene is that Egeus does not want his daughter to marry Lysander. But instead they both elope.
2. Explicate Hermia and Lysander's exchange re love in ACT I, Scene I (lines 130-155).
