Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States. He happily married and had six children. He had many positions in the political field. Roosevelt made many new acts a made a huge difference. He got the U.S. out of depression and helped it regain its strength after an attack.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was born in Hyde Park, New York on January 30, 1882. He was the son of James Roosevelt and Sara Delano Roosevelt. He received a BA degree from Harvard, and studied law at Columbia University. Roosevelt married in 1905 to a distant cousin named Anna Eleanor Roosevelt. They had six children, Anna, James, Elliot, Franklin, Jr. and John. Eleanor helped Roosevelt through his entire political career. She became a member in the State Democratic Committee, and she held conferences and gave lectures in parts of the country. In 1921 Roosevelt got poliomyelitis, and never regained the use of his legs.
