"Is this really going to happen?" I thought to myself after a long day after school. At first, it seemed as if my foolish self was not trying at all, but as the vigorous days passed by, it started becoming a reality. I always wanted to play a sport in high school and wear a comfy, warm letter jacket at that. While pondering deep into my beautiful mind, something popped like a bag of popcorn and gave me a great idea. I wanted to walk the perfectly bladed grass with shoes, shoes with soft spikes and wear flamboyant, ironed slacks even though the rougher sports called it a sissy sport.
"Golf tryouts this week after school..." the announcements roared through the schools ancient P.A. system. I heard this through my ears like a tree whispering in the wind.
