Robert Langdon is a professor who is called to France for being a suspect in the death of Jacques Saunière. Sophie comes in to help read the codes that Jacques Saunière leaves to who killed him. Knowing that Langdon did not kill Saunière, she helps him escape the museum and flea to Leigh Teabings house that was a good friend of Robert Lagdon. That is where they figured out that whoever killed Saunière was looking for the Holy Grail and that Saunière was one of the protectors of the Holy Grail. The cops finally catch up to Robert and Sophie at Teabings house and they flea just before they entered the house. They take Teabings private jet to England to find the Holy Grail and whoever killed Saunière. Later they find out who killed Saunière and it was Teabing all along so Robert Langdon kills Teabing and finds out that Sophie is a distant relative to Mary Magdalene.
