Crash
The movie Crash is filled with prejudice and discrimination based on the character's races and ethnicities. Everyone in the movie had a predisposed prejudice towards people of opposite races. The movie included more acts of prejudice than racism, and it is actually sad to realize that is a reality in the U.S. The movie is basically an eye-opener for those of us who do not notice our prejudices. The movie even included a form of positive prejudices, where they did not want the African American police officer to seem like a bad influence on the black neighborhood, so they decided to cover it up. With attitudes like the ones that were portrayed in the movie, no race is safe from discriminations. This movie also makes me wonder what people think about me as I walk around campus or when I am at work. I am an African American female and I don't want anyone to have a selective perception of me just because I am black and use slang sometimes.
