I glanced back at my movie ticket and observed the phrase "Last Holidayâ?, just what exactly is "Lastâ? means and why did I pick this movie? I was pretty sure that my life does not relate to Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) who lives a small life tucked inside big dreams. In addition, I am a student and she is a shy cookware salesperson for a New Orleans retail outlet. Pretty much the movie started slow, it showed how Georgia handles cooking with the style of a master chef. Good thing, the turning point scene saved this movie from boredom catastrophe. After a small head-related incident at her wearisome work place, she learns her days are numbered. Director Wayne Wang was able to show Georgia's great emotional distress, good enough to triggered a question that the audience would ask, "What if it were me who just discovered that I will die in three weeks?â?
The motifs of "big dreamsâ? are pervaded throughout the movie, from the beginning until the end. At this point,......
