Robert Lee Frost was one of America's leading 20th Century poets, and a four time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Frost did not receive these recognitions until later in his life. His simple style of writing and constant attention to nature make his poems unique. The essay will include his life, career, and his influences.
Robert Frost was born on March 26, 1874. His father was a journalist who had come from a background in farming, both traits that Robert would carry on until his death. "I always had a farm." At age eleven, Frost's father died leaving him the responsibility of being the man of the house. His mother moved the whole family to New England. While in high school he became interested in writing poetry. He was top honors at his school in Lawrence along with his future wife Elinor White. "Moving to England helped me concentrate on my poetry." Frost attended Dartmouth College and Harvard, but never earned a degree. After college in 1895 he married Elinor......
