It is very clear that the people of this time promoted their gods just as people today revere the God of Christianity. The gods of Greece may seem unlike the God of Christian religion, but they are comparable to him in various ways. The Greek god Apollo is one archaic god that is evidently different, but also peculiarly similar to the Christian God.
