Career Trends Report

Being a career activist in my personal career means different things, but most important is to be prepared to" live in an uncertain work world, where the only certainty is me, my skills, my flexibility, and my capacity to adapt to change". This requires an individual to be an optimist and believe in him/her self. To manage my career effectively, I need to identify the unique talents and personal values that define who I am, what I do, and what I care about. Being able to identify and prepare for opportunities rather than expecting anyone else to guide me along or do reconnaissance. It is also being entrepreneurial looking for opportunity, undertaking enterprises that provide opportunities as well as risks. Based on 12 New Rules for Success by Barbara Moses, these rules are influencing me in pursuit of my career of choice and how they might also influence how I structure my Career Portfolio.
