United Motors Corporation was the first company name of General Motors before they changed it on 1918 (GM 1910s 3). General Motors Company was founded by Billy Durant on September 16, 1908 (GM History 1900s 2). Olds Motor Vehicle Company, Incorporation founded by Ransom E. Olds, the oldest unit of General Motors. It was built with only $50,000 capital and they had 5,000 shares of stocks at $10 each (GM 1900s 1). In 2001, General Motors has revenue of $177,260 billion (Hoover GM). They built their first industrial unit in Detroit on Jefferson Avenue East and became their main headquarters. Oldsmobile made their first American car in 1901 (GM 1900s 1) and the second unit of the General Motors. It was built on November 12, 1908 (GM 1900s 2). Oakland Motor Car Corporation became completely controlled by General Motors in 1902 when the Oakland Motor founder Edward Murphy died.......
