The US Government has spent over 7 times that amount, $369 Billion, so far in Afghanistan and Iraq. They want another $91 Billion to continue this. Gas prices haven't really come down and Iraqis are into extremely violent civil disobedience when the democratic vote doesn't go their way.

Building hydrogen infrastructure in America was seen as impractical because it would cost $100 Billlion......
